NEWPORT BEACH, CA (Daily Pilot, Feb 12, 2014) - Corona del Mar residents Gary and Julie Crisp hosted a Super Bowl party for more than 450 people, including veterans and active-duty Marines from Camp Pendleton, that raised $10,000.
The all-day event was the Crisps' sixth Super Bowl party for active-duty service members and veterans. Previous parties were held at their former home in Coto de Caza, but Sunday's was the first at the American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 in Newport Beach. The event featured the USC marching band and a gospel choir. Some San Diego Chargers cheerleaders were also on hand.
The $10,000 will benefit the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group.
